Approximately seventy kilometers south of Hanoi is the most famous place of pilgrimage around the Bac-bo, the Chua Huong-tich, Perfume Pagoda, which is visited by thousands and thousands of believers.
To get there we must abandon car or bus and board a sampan that goes into the river Day in a flooded rice fields from which arise almost surreal landscape blocks limestone massifs. After docking at the foot of one of these stone Spurs, runs a route between pagodas dating from the 15th century and decorated with great care in the 17th. Some of them are located in caves scattered along the ascent that leads to the cave, which houses the main sanctuary where the faithful gather around the image of the Buddha.
