Live an exciting cultural experience with this tour of Quito, the colourful capital of Ecuador. Begin by learning all there is to learn about Quito’s most iconic landmarks with a walking tour of the city. After that, this tour takes you into the highly enlightening Quito Archaeological Museum, where you will discover a lot more about the history of this fascinating city.

After meeting up with your charismatic guide, the tour begins with a meander through the well-off neighbourhoods of Quito, specifically the banking and financial parts of town. In these same districts we encounter the smartest shopping malls and the renowned La Mariscal neighbourhood, where most of the nicest hotels are located.

After that, make your way towards the historical city centre. Among the countless attractions that are scattered around it, you will visit El Panecillo, from where you have a great sight of colonial and modern Quito; the churches of San Francisco and La Basilica; and Independence Square. While walking through the colonial street, admire the Cathedral, the Government’s Palace and the church known as La Compania, which is filled with adornments and even contains golden altars.

Last but not least, this tour takes you into Quito’s Archaeological Museum, where you can delve into the history of Ecuador’s oldest cultures. The museum doesn’t only contain one of the best archaeological exhibitions in Latin America; it also has an awe-inspiring collection of golden artefacts that will make you finish the tour with stars in your eyes.
