Enjoy the great outdoors by sea and by land with this exhilarating excursion that combines whale watching and horseback riding in Iceland. Available in two options, this adventurous day will have you whale watching in the morning and riding in the afternoon or riding in the morning. Two entertaining activities in beautiful surroundings.

The whale watching part of your day will begin as you set sail into Faxafloi Bay from Reykjavik's old harbour. Keep your eyes focused and see if you can spot minke and humpback whales and playful dolphins. Known for a rich variety of sea birds, take in the sights and sounds of beautiful gannets and adorable puffins. Grab your camera and snap a few photos to keep the memories for years to come. As you are observing these animals in their natural environment, a sighting cannot be guaranteed, but the attempt will certainly be made. The horseback riding portion will take you off the sea and into a saddle. This tour is geared towards those with limited experience, and it will be a joy for all to ride the pony-like Icelandic horses. Take in the vast natural beauty surrounding Reykjavik as you set out on a one and a half to two hour ride. Marvel at the picturesque scenery as you make your way along excellent riding paths on the back of a friendly Icelandic horse.

Option One: Available 1 April to 31 October: Whale watching in the morning and afternoon horseback riding.
Meeting/pick-up point:Hotel pick-up. You must call 24 hours before the departure in order to confirm the pick up time.
Duration: Eight/nine hours.
Start/opening time: Between 8.15-8.45am.
End/closing time: 6pm.

Others: This combination tour is put together for beginners with little or limited riding experience. The minimum age for these tours is 10 years.
Option Two: Available year round: Horseback riding in the morning. Meeting/pick-up point: Hotel pick-up. You must call 24 hours before the departure in order to confirm the pick up time.
Duration: Eight/ nine hours.
Start/opening time: 8.30am.
End/closing time: 6pm.
Languages: English, or other requested languages: German, Spanish, French.
Others:This combination tour is put together for beginners with little or limited riding experience. The minimum age for these tours is 10 years. Available from April 1 to October 31: Whale watching in the morning and horse tour in the afternoon.
