Program details
Spend a great day's fishing aboard the Tono, a state of the art fishing craft with room for ten passengers. The waters around Lanzarote are teeming with big game fish and this six hour excursion is ideal for experienced fishermen as well as novices. The boat carries top quality tackle and equipment and the friendly crew will be more than ready to help you out with all your questions and problems.
After leaving port we'll get the tackle ready and prepare the bait according to the season. You'll learn the signs showing that there are fish about, such as flocks of seabirds, schools of smaller fish or fins breaking the water. Dolphins and whales are a common sight in these waters and in the summer you may even catch sight of a loggerhead turtle or a hammerhead shark.
Big game fish commonly found in these waters include Blue and White Marlin, Tuna, Wahoo and Maki Maki. We'll also drop anchor and bottom fish with live and dead bait. We'll use light tackle, fishing for snapper, bonito, squid and different types of shark. While you're fishing enjoy a snack with a soft drink or beer
Meeting/ pick up point: Hotel Pick up from Playa Blanca, Costa Teguise and Arrecife at 8:00am, from Puerto del Carmen at 8:30am and from Puerto Calero at 8:45am or direct to the Puerto Calero harbour.
