Program details

Join in the splendor of the natural beauty and mystique of the Andorran Pyrenees. Let the adventurer in you come alive as you discover the mountains of the Pyrenees on guided excursions in either the low and medium altitudes, or the higher altitudes for a more advanced climber.

A fun experience for anyone, enjoy a more basic climb in the low and medium altitude excursions of the Pyrenees. Guided along the way, your straightforward hike will involve little in the way of ascents and will mostly consist of a trek through the beautiful lush valley bottoms. While on your trip, take the opportunity to note transhumance, the movement of the locals and their livestock from pasture to pasture. Take in the region's flora and fauna, and notice the wood and iron elements in the area. Your guide will take you for a visit to valley-bottom mountain shelters and stone huts, so you'll get a flavor of local life in the Pyrenees. Specific offerings at the lower elevations include a visit to Sorteny Valley Natural Park, three hours, or to the El Madriu Valley, a heritage of humanity site, four hours. Have a bit more experience? The longer, six to eight hour, higher altitude excursions will be more your speed. Ascend to between 400 and 1500 meters and take in your surroundings from the peaks of the mountains. Enjoy discovering valley crossings, glacial cirques and lakes, and the pristine beauty of unspoiled nature.

Whatever your experience level may be, you'll be sure to breathe in the fresh mountain air and enjoy the fairy tale like views the Pyrenees has to offer.
