Program details

Stockholm. 14 islands, two bodies of water and 57 bridges. In six hours we will cover the city districts of Södermalm, Gamla Stan, Norrmalm, Östermalm, and Djurgården, each with its own special character.

Södermalm. This trendy and bohemian area of the city, offers both small wooden houses from the 1700s and a fantastic view of the city.

Gamla Stan. Or Old Town as we would say in English. Where every- thing once began. As we wander the streets the history we will listen to stories and legends that make the Old Town come alive! Included is a visit to the Royal Palace, the King’s official residence. With 608 rooms it is the setting for most of the monarchy’s official receptions. Next to the Royal Palace we find the Cathedral, known as Stockholm’s second oldest building, it is also home to the original statue of St. George and the Dragon, made completely out of wood.

Norrmalm. Also known as the City Centre. Great shopping opportunities and the focal point of modern Stockholm. In the back drop see the City Hall, venue for the Nobel Prize Banquet.

Ö̈stermalm. The city’s most fashionable neighbourhood with stately apartment buildings, fantastic architecture and scenic walkways.

Djurgården. Better known as the outdoor recreation centre for the city locals. The island is home to the Vasa Museum. Imagine a ship from the 1600s which took three years to build, she takes off on her maiden voyage only to sail for 20 minutes before going to the bottom of the sea. Today she lies before us 98 % intact. This is a WOW experience!
