Day 1 Chihuahua

Arrival in Chihuahua where you will be greeted by Viajes Dorados staff and transferred to your hotel. You will receive travel documents containing coupons for hotels, train tickets and itinerary.


Later (the tour will be scheduled upon arrival) you will enjoy a guided tour of the main sights of the city visiting the Museum of Pancho Villa, Government Palace and its history murals descriptive ride state, Cathedral, Colonial Aqueduct and the residential area. Light dinner type box lunch included at the hotel.

Day 2 Chihuahua-Cerocahui

This morning at 5:15 am you will be transferred by Viajes Dorados staff to the train station to board the Chihuahua al Pacifico Express first class train, better known as “Chepe”.


The train leaves Chihuahua at 6:00 am and arrives to Bahuichivo at 3:00 pm approximately. In the journey enjoy the comfort of the train that offers a dining room and reclining seats for passengers. Upon arriving you will be transferred by the hotel staff and transferred to the hotel located in Cerocahui. After you check in, the afternoon is at leisure to visit on your own the most important point of interest of the village as the Old Jesuit Mission and the Tarahumara Girl Orphan School located them near to the hotel. Dinner included at the dining room at the hotel.

Day 3 Cerocahui-Divisadero/Posada Barrancas

This morning after breakfast included at the hotel you will enjoy by the hotel staff a guided tour to the sightseeing view of the Spectacular Urique Canyon called “Cerro del Gallego”, where you can observe the river and the mining town of Urique; also on the way, you will be able to see beautiful views of the Canyon and valleys. Return to the hotel for included lunch and then you will be transferred by the hotel staff to the train station. The Chepe train departs to Divisadero Barrancas at 1:00 pm approximately and arrives at 2:00 pm approximately. Upon arriving you will be transferred to the hotel by the hotel staff.


In the afternoon, enjoy a guided walking tour along the rim (please check schedules at the reception, they will provide the tour) and enjoy the Tarahumara sunset from the hotel balconies. Dinner included at the hotel.

This afternoon enjoy the wonderful sunset that the Copper Canyon gives to us. The breathtaking view from the balconies of your hotel will let you appreciate the beauty of the place and understand the immensity of the Tarahumara world.


Day 4 Divisadero/Posada Barrancas-Creel

Breakfast included at the hotel, then free morning for walking tours on your own to different views points like Mirador Piedra Volada, challenge your spirit of adventure in the hanging bridge that crosses a small canyon or ride in the aerial Tram or zip line (optional-not included) or simply buy nice crafts from the Tarahumaras. Lunch included at the hotel.


Then you will be transferred to the train station by the hotel staff to board the train Chepe at 2:00 pm approximately to Creel. Arrival at 4:00 pm approximately and transfer to the hotel by its staff.

Rest of the afternoon free to enjoy this picturesque Tarahumara village a “Pueblo Magico”

Day 5 Creel-Chihuahua with Mennonite Community

This morning at 10:00 am your tour guide/driver from Viajes Dorados will contact you at your hotel front desk to take you to a tour of Creel, visiting a Tarahumara Community, the Arareco Lake, the Mushroom Valley (rock formations), the San Ignacio old Mission (a Tarahumara church) and a Tarahumara cave.

Then we will continue in a van toward the city of Cuauhtémoc. We will visit a Mennonite Community where we will enjoy a traditional light lunch (included) based on Mennonite cheese, jam, pickles, bread, cookies, tea and coffee; elaborated by the Mennonites, also we will visit a Mennonite Camp. After this interesting visit, on to Chihuahua City.

Day 6 End

Breakfast included at the hotel. Transfer to the airport by Viajes Dorados staff two hours before your flight. End of services.
