Program details

Start on foot from the General Post Office, an icon of Saigon, and Notre Dame Cathedral, built by the French during the colonial era. Pass the Reunification Palace, previously referred to as the Presidential Palace, and the site of the official South Vietnamese surrender on April 30th, 1975. From here continue to the War Remnants Museum, which displays old military equipment and other related items from the Vietnam War. Now it's time for some fun! From the museum, embark on a cyclo tour rolling around the city on a traditional three-wheeled bicycle with a carriage at the front for passengers. The ride leads up Hai Ba Trung to Tan Dinh market, a genuine suburban wet market where the locals come to do their daily shop and stop for gossip with their neighbours. Hop back on the cyclo and ride toward Tao Dan Park before bidding our cyclos goodbye and enjoying a short walk to Saigon's iconic Ben Thanh market, with its unmistakable clock tower, where the tour will terminate.
