Views of the Parliament Building, the Danube River, Margaret Bridge and Pest are provided by your vantage points at the Castle District and Gellért Hill.

You begin your tour at the grand old Chain Bridge, an engineering achievement in its time and the oldest bridge in Budapest. Passing by the gothic-style masterpiece that is the Parliament building, you cross over the Danube on the Margaret Bridge which also links Margaret Island to the mainland. As you head over to the western side known as Buda you can catch views of the river Danube and the waterfront. There is a stop in the Castle District and during a short walk you will be shown the main attractions of the area which include the Fishermen’s Bastion and the Matthias Church. The Bastion takes its name from the guild of fishermen that was responsible for defending this stretch of the city walls in the Middle Ages. It is a viewing terrace, with many stairs and walking paths. Driving on to Gellért Hill and the Citadel which is atop it you can enjoy a gorgeous view to the city.
