A thrilling boat ride along the Mae Kok River ends with a visit to the traditional Karen hilltribe village. They originated from Burma and form the largest hilltribe population in Thailand. Here visitors enjoy an elephant ride for approx half hour through the countryside. After which, the trip continues on to a local hot spring. Nearby lives the Lahu Hilltribes. The Lahu Hilltribes originated from Tibet. The trip returns to Chiang Rai via a boat ride.
