Discover every street and every corner of importance on this comprehensive tour of the capital of Ecuador, the colourful city of Quito. There is no better way to become acquainted with the most important sites and landmarks that compose a city than by compressing them into a brief trip. This helps you get your bearings in a new entourage and then allows you to enjoy the rest of your holiday leisurely exploring the places more interesting to you on your own account.

The tour begins with a panoramic route through the lively banking and financial areas. This is the part of town where we also encounter large shopping malls and the renowned neighbourhood of La Mariscal, where most of the hotels are found.

Continue then towards the Historic Centre of the City, where you will visit a series of must-see attractions. El Panecillo, for instance, is a magnificent site from where you get a great vantage point of colonial and modern Quito. Also visit the church of San Francisco, erected back in the 17th century.

Enjoy a leisurely stroll through La Ronda, the old colonial neighbourhood, and stop to see the stunning Independence Square. Also among the colonial streets we find the wondrous Cathedral, the Government’s Palace and La Compania Church. The latter is covered with beautiful ornaments and contains golden altars. After lunch in the historical centre, finish off with an incursion into the Basilica Church.
