Tikal Tour.
Tikal means “place of voices”. It is nowadays, the biggest Mayan City known and studied. The park as an extension of 576kms squared. It was declared Human Heritage patrimony, by UNESCO in 1979. Among its main temples and plazas: Major Plaza it is the Archaeological Park of Tikal, surrounded by impressive buildings as the Temples I and II, the North and Central Acropolis, as well as a big range of wakes and altars that talk part of the dynastic history of the Mayan Civilization in Tikal.
Temple I known also as Big Jaguar Temple, it was built around the 700 year of our era. Temple II it is known also as Masks, close the Big Plaza by the west, with a 38mts. high, the temple was built by the governor Ah Cacao around the 700 A.C. North Acropolis it is a religious area, within the ceremonial complex of TikalCentral Acropolis It is integrated by small courtyard in different levels, by large and low buildings called “palaces”.

Yaxha Tour.
Within the Yaxha archaeological park is the Yaxha Lagoon, which contains a series of lake cities erected upon small barren islands. These isles are connected to the mainland and among themselves by an intricate series of roads and channels. The first city, located 30 kilometres southwest from Tikal and an example of the Classic Period, possesses a marvellous collection of ancient plazas and acropolis connected by 'sacbes', or channels. In our day and age we know quite a lot about what life used to be like in these cities thanks to a series of hieroglyphic inscriptions their inhabitants left behind.
A city from the Post-Classic period can be found on one of the islands of Yaxha. Its buildings are similar to those of Tulum, in Yucatan. Both sites can easily be accessed from El Remate, where the Peten Itza Lake ends. Throughout the seven and a half hours that the tour lasts you will be stunned by the sheer natural bliss of the surrounding landscapes. This is more than a tour to some ancient ruins; it is a journey into history enshrouded in beauty.

Duration: Tikal Tour - 8 hours from hotels in Tikal, 10 hours from the airport. Yaxha Tour - 7.5 hours.
Pick-up time: Tikal Tour - from Flores at 7am, from the airport between 7:30am and 7:45am and from Tikal between 9am and 9:30am. Yaxha Tour - at 7:30am.
