Your full day city tour will include entrance to the Royal Palace compound where the Royal Family still reside today and to the Silver Pagoda, with its flooring made up of silver tiles. Continue to the National Museum, a pleasant building in Khmer traditional style, which houses sculptures and other artefacts. Before lunch visit the Art Deco Psar Thmei or central market. In the afternoon you will visit the Tuol Sleng Museum of Genocide housed in the notorious S-21 detention centre itself. Take a journey into the peaceful countryside at the city limits to the equally chilling Choeung Ek memorial, on the site of one of several 'killing fields' to be found around the whole country. Returning to the city centre take in a visit to Wat Phnom on the only hill in an otherwise flat landscape. After a riverside promenade you will be taken to your hotel.
