Remembrance Tour: The Great War in Flanders fields and Northern France from Bruges

This tour will take you on a very moving journey as you make your way to a German Cemetery, before heading over to a section of the WW1 trenches. Visit the Monument of the ‘Brooding Soldier’, which commemorates the sacrifice of 2000 Canadian soldiers during the first German gas attack.



After a delicious set lunch in Ypres your guide will take you to the outstanding Flanders Fields Museum. Here you will hear touching stories behind four years of trench war.



Visit the famous Commonwealth cemetery of Tyne Cot, where some 13.000 man lay at rest. We arrive at Essex Farm a former field hospital and the spot where John Mc Crae wrote his famous poem In Flanders Fields.



A short drive brings us back to Ypres where you can enjoy free time for dinner. At 8pm sharp we attend the moving Last Post Ceremony at the Menin Gate. At the end we drive back to Bruges.
