Explore the beautiful Mediterranean island of Malta on a panoramic bus and optional boat tour. Discover all of the key landmarks with time to explore at leisure along the way.
This 5-6 hour island tour including a lunch stop will let you learn all about the history of this magnificent island from its medieval cities to the charming fishing village of Marsaxlokk. And not forgetting the much-photographed Blue Grotto caves.
You'll begin your Maltese Island adventure at your chosen pick-up point before a whistle-stop tour of the island's capital, Valletta. From here you will head south towards the Three Cities where you will stop for 15 minutes in Vittoriosa; an old fortified city with narrow stone alleyways lined with greenery.
On to Marsaxlokk, a charming fishing village perched on the south coast, here you will have an hour to marvel at the colorful boats and wander the surrounding streets and shops. You might also indulge in a spot of lunch at one of the many fresh seafood restaurants dotted along the harbour edge.
After lunch, head on round the coast to the Blue Grotto; a network of caves with their glistening crystal blue waters. You will view from afar these magnificent caves with great photo opportunities during this 30 minute stop.
Heading back north and inland, the next stop is Mdina, a fortified ancient walled city perched on top of a hill full of medieval and baroque architecture. An hour here gives you the chance to meander through the narrow, quiet streets admiring the high walled building along with most-visited sites such as St Paul's Cathedral.
Your tour concludes with a drive-through visit to Mosta, home to the world's third-largest unsupported domed church, the Rotunda, before you will be dropped off at your desired drop off point.
What's more, the Harbour Cruise option gives you the opportunity to relive Malta's history as you cruise around the two natural harbours in Valetta. Admire the fortified cities of Valetta and The Three Cities with their Baroque-style churches and buildings. Learn about the Great Sieges of 1565 and 1942 along with other interesting facts along the way.
