Program details

With this full day tour from thessaloniki, you will have the opportunity to spend a beautiful day in the nature of the Pozar thermal waterfalls, at the footsteps of Mount Voras and the Loutraki village. The thermal water reaches a temperature of 38 °C and its mineral elements have a tonic effect on body and soul.
Just outside the city of Edessa in Pieria Loutra Pozar or Pozar Baths are well-frequented by the locals who are aware of the healing properties of the springs, as well by foreigners who are interested in thermal springs and spa. What makes the Pozar Baths stand out from other hot springs across Greece is the proximity of the hot spring and the cold, as well as the rushing streams which are located right next to each other and make for a unique bathing experience that will leave visitors rested and recharged. The accessibility to both the hot and cold waters isn’t the only unique thing about Loutra Pozar. The springs are set in the heart of nature. They’re the perfect environment to unplug and truly relax year-round.
Moreover, with this tour we visit Edessa, the so-called “City of Waters”, with its 100 bridges and its natural park with waterfalls, among the most spectacular in the Balkans.
Edessa town is the capital of Pella and the river forming its renowned Greek waterfall is Edessaios. The city is filled with little bridges and the sound of running water will accompany your strolls around the town. The main volume of water was collected in a small basin in the west side of the city, up to the end of the 14th century, but due to a geological phenomenon the water changed course and crossed the city forming a spectacular waterfall.
