Leaving Milan, head into northern Lombardy arriving in the picturesque town of Tirano mid-morning. There is free time to explore the Old Town with its cobbled streets, to stroll up the lanes leading to the mediaeval Porta Bormina and to have an early lunch before boarding the Bernina Express train early in the afternoon. The spectacular journey through valleys, gorges and past glaciers is a photographer's dream. Little more than two hours later arrive in the famous Swiss resort town of St. Moritz. There is free time to explore this small mountain town before departing by coach for the return journey to Milan.
