Program

Day 1:

Saturday: Athens, embarkation
The check-in takes place at date, time and location indicated by organizer, usually by 17:00pm at the sailing boat docked at the marina. Meeting with your skipper, cabin allocation and briefing about the cruise. At approximately 19:00 pm, gather up and go altogether to a nearby café/bar for drinks and a taste of some delicious finger food, in order to have the time to get to know each other, bond and speak about your experiences including sailing. Overnight onboard at the marina.
Possible activities: relaxing, bond with sailing team mates, Athens by night, get to know nearby Glyfada area

Day 2:

Sunday: Poros
Set sail to Poros at approximately 10:00 am. We make a swim stop on the way and approximately at 16:00-17:00 pm we moor at Poros (free time on Poros island). Must see on Poros island is the sunset from the old Clock tower on the top of the hill. There is also the option of going to the Love Bay for swimming – 15 min on foot – or renting an ATV and go around the area. Overnight on board.
Possible activities: Walk around the island and visit the famous clock on the top of the hill

The town of Poros is built in the shape of an amphitheatre over two hills. In antiquity Poros consisted in fact of two islands, Sphería and Kalávria, but the last explosion of the Méthana volcano in 273 BC radically changed the morphology of the area. Sphería was cut off from Méthana, and in this way Póros took its present-day form. Lush pine trees vegetation, crystal clear beaches, a lively waterfront adorned with shops, cosy cafes and restaurants, a picturesque capital (it has been declared protected settlement) with grand traditional mansions and picturesque cobbled streets, as well as a wide selection of entertainment venues are the ingredients of this quiet, yet cosmopolitan, destination that attracts visitors from all age groups.

Day 3:

Monday: Hydra
We sail to Hydra (free time on Hydra island) to spend the most exciting day of the week. No swim stop today, since Hydra is an amazing place to spend your whole day. No cars or motorbikes are allowed on this island. There are plenty of activities to do like cliff diving, swimming, relaxing at sunset bars or go around the market for shopping. Overnight on board.
Possible activities: Cliff diving

Just 37 nautical miles from Athens in the Argo-Saronic Gulf, the long, narrow island of Hydra (or Ydra) is both cosmopolitan and tranquil. Donkeys and boats are the only form of transport as laws prohibit automobiles (except for a few small garbage trucks), mopeds, and even bicycles. Due to the island’s status as a national historic monument, strict building laws also regulate development, protecting Hydra’s traditional architectural style and enhancing its old-world charm.
Aside from your feet, donkeys and boats are the only means of transport on Hydra. Hydra’s municipality covers 72 square kilometers. The main town is built amphitheatrically around the island’s main harbor, lined with large and small yachts, as well as traditional caicques, or fishing boats. Shops, hotels, cafes, and tavernas line the port, while cobblestone streets and alleyways wind along the coast and climb the steep, rocky hillsides, leading to the island’s various neighborhoods and villages.
Though Hydra has a year-round population of less than 2000 (per 2011 census), which can swell to 6000 over the summer, the interior is nearly uninhabited.

Day 4:

Tuesday: Ermioni
We sail to Ermioni. On the way we make a swim stop. Ermioni has some of the best places to moor for swimming in the whole Saronic Gulf. We moor at the dock approx at 4pm.Our proposal is to rent a bike and explore the area or go swimming – always walking distance – at the small, almost private beaches of the place. At night there is a very nice cocktail bar to relax and have your drinks under the moonshine. Overnight on board.
Possible activities: bike tour, night out at a specific bar

Ermioni (Ancient Hermione) can be divided into three sections. The commercial Limani port and harbour is located on the Northern side, with the lively Mandrakia on the Southern side of the peninsula. At the Eastern end of the town, is the archaeological pine-cladded forest area called the Bisti. Here one can enjoy leisurely walks at any time of the day, as there is plenty of shade, and visit the 5th Cen. BC temple of Athena, and other ancient, Byzantine and medieval monuments. You can also swim in the clear blue sea, from the rocky coves along the Southern side of the Bisti, which overlook the islands of Dokos and Hydra. Books refer to Ermioni as a seaside town of captivating beauty.
This is absolutely correct, as it still remains authentically Greek, charming, hospitable and friendly. For the visitor to Ermioni, there are numerous amenities, from banks, post office, ATM machines, doctors, dentists, pharmacies, physiotherapist, tourist office where one can also hire cars, real estate offices if you wish to buy land or property, taxis, buses to Kranidi and Kosta, various shops, supermarkets, beauty salon, hairdressers, cafes, bars and tavernas.

Day 5:

Wednesday: Méthana
We set sail to Méthana. On the way we make a swim stop and then approximately at 16:00-17:00 pm we moor at the dock. Methana is the land of Hyphaestus and there is a Volcano and thermal spa at the area. Time to reach to the top of the mountain where the Volcano erupted hundreds of years ago. Embark in a mini van or bus, and start this Volcano tour with amazing view on the top of the mountain and then we take everyone to an amazing traditional taverna in a small port to have dinner and unlimited wine or tsipouro (included). When they return, they have the option to go tho the open air free thermal spots to relax. Overnight on board.
Activities: volcano trip

The peninsula of Méthana with its two steep volcanic slopes is actually a volcano that emerged from the sea! Welcome the opportunity to explore a stunning volcanic landscape with dense vegetation, coastal villages and diverse flora and fauna. The establishment of the spa complex in 1870 made it a popular spa town attracting mainly senior citizens from many European countries.
Follow a fascinating route to the fishing village of Agios Geórgios and on to the Baths of Pausanias, one of the peninsula’s hot springs, or follow the footsteps of the ancient historian Pausanias to the ancient city of Méthana. In the village of Paleókastro stand the remains of the classical walls and gates of an acropolis, the rest of which fell into the sea due to a volcanic eruption.
The peninsula boasts approximately 32 volcanoes. Climbing to the largest crater is a truly challenging experience. Start from Kaméni Hóra and follow the path on a 25-minute climb to the lip of the volcano. Step on now solid red lava flows and take in views of a different world of savage black, red and green crags and sharp abysses… Last but not least, soak up the atmosphere along the island’s volcanic beaches (Nissaki Ayion Anaryiron, Limniónas and Vathý).

Day 6:

Thursday: Perdika
We set sail to Perdika. A small traditional fish village where you have a lot of optional things to do. Apart from the beach where you can swim, you can rent an ATV to go around the island of Aegina and visit the town center and one of the most famous ancient Temples in Greece – The Temple of Aphaia. You can also get the small wooden boat and visit the inhabited island of Moni. There you can relax at the beach, next to the only locals -peacocks and deer! They are all very friendly and a unique thing to see. Overnight on board.
Possible activities: beach party at Perdika

Perdika village enchants many visitors with its simple charm. It is a small fishing village set in a pretty little bay. The traditional fish tavernas, modern cafés & bars are situated on a raised terrace above the small harbour and these are what attract the day visitor whether from Athens or Aegina Town. It is claimed that this is the best place on the island to come and enjoy a fish lunch overlooking the peaceful bay and Moni island beyond. The old town has the characteristics of the Aegean Sea-style of white square houses and narrow streets. Lots of charter yachts are having Perdika as their first or last day destination. Especially in the weekends Perdika is very lively, mostly with Greek weekend tourists.

Day 7:

Friday: Athens
We sail back to Athens and on the way we make a swim stop. This is the last one before we moor agian at Marina Alimos where we started from. Friday night is free. Overnight on board.
