Day 01: CHIANG RAI (Lunch & Dinner)
Transfer to the hotel.
Lunch at the Hotel.
Departure to the outskirts of Chiang Rai to visit the famous Wat Rong Khun, also known as the ‘White Temple’, which is famous throughout Asia for its modern Thai architecture. Continue on to the center of Chiang Rai to visit the most important temples of the city Wat Phra Kaew and Wat Phra Sing.
Arrive at the hotel in the late afternoon.
Transfer to the restaurant
Dinner in a typical restaurant.
Day 02: CHIANG RAI - CHANG MAI (Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner)
Departure to Chaing Saen, then embark on a motor-boat to visit the KHONG River, which marks the border between Thailand and Laos. You will arrive at the famous Golden Triangle; visit the meeting point of three countries, Burma, Laos and Thailand and an opium museum. On your visit of Chiang Rai, you can also visit the museum Baan Dam. (also known as Black House; which is only interesting on an artistic level as it has no other meaning and/or religious intent).
Lunch at local Thai restaurant.
Drive to Chang Mai via Doi Sakhet. Visit the temple of Wat Prathat Doi Suthep in the evening to enjoy the atmosphere that lingers on the temple during sunset, with the possibility to hear the evening chanting of Buddhist monks. Transfer to the hotel.
Dinner in Hotel.
Day 03: CHANG MAI (Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner)
Depart from the hotel to visit an elephant training camp. Attend a show of these majestic animals, where you can get an elephant back ride. (Optional - extra charge). Then visit the ethnic village of native women famous for their long necks. Return to Chiang Mai.
Lunch at local Thai restaurant.
Visit the center of Chang Mai by cyclo. You will visit Wat Chedi Luang (Temple of the Royal Stupa) and Wat Phra Sing (Temple of the Lion Buddha, represented in this way only in three specific areas of Thailand, Chang Mai, Nakhon Pathom and Nakon Sri Tammaraj). At the end, we will visit local handicraft factories.
