Program

Day 1:
BANGKOK - AYUTTAYA - KHAO YAI (Lunch, Dinner)
Early morning departure to reach the Bang Pa In Summer Palace, a lovely site used by the Royal Family to escape the summer heat of Bangkok, retiring in a lovely compound made of pleasant gardens, lotus ponds and delicate-looking villas, featuring a blend of Eastern and Western architectural styles. After visiting some residences we proceed to nearby Ayutthaya, the ancient capital of Siam, founded in 1350. We visit the most important temples of the Historical Park: Wat Mahathat and Wat Na Phra Manehat.
Lunch in a typical restaurant. Visit of the Elephant Kraal Pavillion, where wild elephants were domesticated and trained in ancient times. Trasfer to Khao Yai National Park. Arrival and dinner at the hotel.

Day 2:
KHAO YAI - BANGKOK (Breakfast, Lunch)
The day is devoted to a full immersion in the pristine nature of Thailand's oldest and largest national park. Established since 1962 and covering an area of over 2,000 square kilometers, the park is the home of many endangered species. In 2005 it was declared an UNESCO World Heritage Site.
In the park area there are a few waterfalls, including Heo Narok, 80 meters high and made famous by the movie The Beach with Leonardo di Caprio. The day's schedule will be as follows:
10:00 admission to the park and trekking with guide and ranger
12:00 lunch in a typical restaurant
13:00 visit of the waterfalls (full of water only in the monsoon season)
13:30 elephant trekking in the forest
15:00 departure
Return to Bangkok. We stop at Nakorn Nayok to see a typical fresh market. Arrival and transfer to the hotel.
