Day 1 * Mexico City
Arrival at the airport in Mexico City and transfer to the hotel Metropol or similar.
Day 2 * Mexico City
Entire day dedicated to the visit of this city and the archeological site of Teotihuacan. Included are the visit of the “Zocalo” (the main square with the Cathedral and the National Palace), of the Templo Mayor, the Church of Our Lady of Guadalupe, the most important centre of pilgrimage of the entire Latin America. Later we will visit Teotihuacan with its imponent Pyramids of the Sun and the Moon. Lunch in a local restaurant. We will return to the hotel in the late afternoon.
Day 3 * Mexico City - Villahermosa - Palenque
After breakfast transfer to the airport and departure to Villahermosa, capital of the Tabasco State. Upon arrival transfer to Palenque and visit of the archeological zone. Overnight at the hotel Mision or similar.
Day 4 * Palenque - Yaxchilan - Bonampak - Palenque
Early morning departure to the village of Corozal, located close to the Mexican border with Guatemala, crossing a beautiful forest. Upon arrival we will board small boats to sail along the river Usumacinta for about 1 hour to reach the ancient Maya city located at the outskirts of the forest: Yaxchilan, a place where silence is only broken by the screams of the monkeys of birds. The visit of this wonderful and fascinating city will last about 2 hours, then we will sail back to Corozal where lunch will be served. In the afternoon visit the site of Bonampak, famous for its murals, before returning to Palenque for overnight.
Day 5 * Palenque – Campeche
Morning visit of the wonderful archeological zone of Palenque. Lunch is included in a local restaurant and in the afternoon departure to Campeche. Upon arrival if time allows it, short visit of this ancient city with a strong colonial feeling, its historic centre is still surrounded by walls and towers. Overnight at Plaza hotel or similar.
Day 6 * Campeche – Uxmal - Merida
Another fantastic day fully dedicated to the visit of the archeological site of Uxmal. Lunch included in a local restaurant. Departure to Merida. Upon arrival in the capital of the Yucatan State clients will be met by our local guide and transferred to the hotel El Castellano or similar.
Day 7 * Merida - Cancun
Departure to Cancún with a stop on the way to visit Chichen Itza, probably the most famous between the mayan archeological sites, with its famous Pyramid of Kukulkan. Lunch in a local restaurant. In the late afternoon proceed to Cancun on the Caribbean Sea. Arrive and check-in to the hotel.
Day 8 * Cancún
Transfer to the airport and end of services.
