Program
Day 1:
LAO BORDER THAILAND - SURIN (Lunch and Dinner)
Arrival in Thailand and departure to Surin, passing through the city of Ubon Ratchatani.
Lunch in a typical restaurant.
Arrival in Surin and transfer to the hotel.
Dinner at the hotel.
Day 2:
SURIN - KORAT (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
On the way to Korat we visit the unique Wat Lan Kuad, literally “The Million Bottles Temple”. It is estimated that more than 1 million recycled beer bottles have been used to build this strange temple.
We reach the archaeological park of Phanom Rung and Mung Tam, ancient Khmer temples built on the ring of an ancient volcano.
Lunch in a traditional restaurant.
Departure to reach Phimai, an impressive temple built by the Khmer in the 11th century. Its huge size (the external walls measure 1020 x 580 m respectively) and the refined architecture put this site at the same level with the more famous Angkor Wat of Cambodia.
Arrival in Korat and transfer to the hotel.
Dinner at the hotel.
Day 3:
KORAT – AYUTTHAYA - BANGKOK (Breakfast, Lunch)
Departure to reach Ayutthaya, the ancient capital of Siam, founded in 1350. We visit the most important temples of the Historical Park: Wat Mahathat, Wat Phrasrisanphet and Wat Mongkolbophit.
Lunch in a traditional restaurant.
After lunch we visit the Bang Pa In Summer Palace, a site used by the Royal Family to escape the summer heat of Bangkok, retiring in a lovely compound made of pleasant gardens, lotus ponds and delicate-looking villas, featuring a blend of Eastern and Western architectural styles. After visiting some residences we proceed to Bangkok.
Arrival in Bangkok.
