Il programma nel dettaglio

Raise a glass to the past with this tour of Provence that includes a visit to the Châteauneuf-du-Pape wine region in the morning followed by historic locations and villages in Provence in the afternoon. Enjoy a tour of Châteauneuf-du-Pape vineyards, learning all about terroir grape varieties, vinification and ageing cellars. In the afternoon, head to the Pont du Gard, the medieval village of Les-Baux-de-Provence and stop at the hamlet of Gordes, which is one of the most beautiful in France.

Châteauneuf-du-Pape is an Appellation d'Origine Contrôlée in the southern Rhône wine region which is renowned for its somewhat rustic, yet critically acclaimed wines based on predominantly Grenache blends. Enjoy the morning in this beautiful region where you will be afforded wine tastings in two classic wineries. Be enlightened as your hosts share their extensive knowledge of their wines and the region in which they are produced.

Go back in time for the afternoon and look on in wonder at the awesome structure that is the Pont du Gard, a stone bridge aqueduct built by the Romans in the first century. This Unesco World Heritage Site is one of the best-preserved Roman era aqueducts. Take a stroll through the historical pedestrian centre of Les-Baux-de-Provence, a glorious medieval village perched in the Alpilles Mountains. Driving on with breathtaking views of the Luberon Valley, you reach the village of Gordes perched upon the rocky hilltops on the Plateau de Vaucluse. Famous for its dry stone architecture, Gordes offers stunning panoramic views to the south over the valley, forests and villages below.
