Situated in the extreme north of the Bay of Banderas, the Marieta Islands are a sanctuary providing a habitat for a wide range of marine life. Whales, dolphins, giant manta rays, tropical fish and native marine bird such as man-o'-war birds and blue-footed boobies create a unique, full ecosystem on these islands.
