Il programma nel dettaglio

Enjoy the different routes Lanzarote has to offer you!

Volcanoes Natural Park route: We make a tour by lava flows from the eruptions that occurred in Lanzarote in the period 1730-1736. This eruption covered a third of the island. On this route we can see the processes and forms created by these eruptions: lava fields, tunnels, craters, “hornillos” (degassing volcanoes)… Better understand this process that buried several villages and farmland. You will be delighted with shapes and colors that seem drawn from the palette of an artist.

Famara Cliffs and Peñas del Chache route: It’s an Ascending route that we begin in the area of Caleta de Famara. We use to do a trail that begins in "Los Noruegos" to climb the cliff. We will have special interest to show uses of the water, so scarce in Lanzarote, endemism from the island and Canary Islands, and bird species in the area. The route runs along the dry riverbed of a ravine, surrounded by plants like “Tabaibas”, “Bejeques” and other. They change as we continue the ascent. The final offers spectacular views and landscapes of the northern part of the island, Archipelago Chinijo (La Graciosa, Alegranza, Montaña Clara), and the Hermitage of Las Nieves. Return by the same path.

El Golfo crater and Paso Beach route: The route starts on a visit and tour of the "Salinas de Janubio", one of the most important salt pans of the world. Explain the production of sea salt. We also discuss the history of the place, the old "Puerto Real de Janubio" –Royal Port-, status before eruptions of Timanfaya, with white dunes or fossil beaches, and the protection "ZEPA" in the area, important for birds and birdwhatching tourism. We can get to see up to 86 species of migratory birds (flamingos, stilts, Curlew ...), and other species that nest permanently (Pipits, Plovers, kestrels ...). After the visit, we will go to the cliffs area, which see the forms produced by lava in contact with water. In "El Golfo", begin a walking trail through the coastal zone of the National Park of Timanfaya: AA and Pahoehoe lava, caves, cliffs and one spectacular area with Tabaibas. We end at Playa del Paso, and will the way back. For those who have not visited the area, we will stop us in the “Charco de Los Clicos”. We understand their formation hydromagmatic, and the reason for their green color.
