Leaving from Arles, start with a Roman reverie as you visit the Font du Gard, a structure that dates back to the first century. The best-preserved part of the Roman aqueduct used to supply water to Nîmes.

Later, admire the Triumphal Arch and Mausoleum that can be found in the midst of an olive grove in Saint Rémy de Provence – a landscape often depicted by Van Gogh. Then head to Les Baux de Provence, a village perched at 245 meters of altitude, with a picturesque historical centre. Here you can visit the museum of Santons, the Hôtel des Porcelets, 16th century homes, the St Vincent Church and much more.

After a break for lunch, in which you will be able to explore the town at your own pace, continue to Roussillon, one of 'the most beautiful villages in France', known for its ochre cliffs and other-worldly landscapes. Next is Gordes, a hilltop town in Luberon, famous for its peculiar architecture. Learn more about the symbol of Provence at the Lavender Museum and witness a distillation during the harvest season.
