Il programma nel dettaglio

See all there is to see in Reykjavik with this combination of three popular tours: the Saga Trail, the Highland Road and the Golden Circle Evening Tour. It is the best form of learning all about the area in just one day. That way you can spend the rest of your holiday exploring on your own account while being a better connoisseur of your surroundings. Learn about the island’s history, meet one of its most famous glaciers and contemplate some breath-taking views of Iceland’s chilly landscapes under the evening sun.

Begin your journey with a drive along the shores of Hvalfjörður (“the whaling fjord”). There, visit a truly impressive location: the still operative whaling station which gives the fjord its name. Head off then to the Settlement Centre in Borgarnes, where you will visit an exhibition before continuing to Fossatun for your lunch break.

Once fed, it’s time to hit the road: move on to Reykholt for another educative exhibition at Snorrastofa. Your next stop is the geothermal area of Deildartunguhver and then, going from one amazing landscape to the next, visit the waterfalls of Barnafoss and Hraunfossar. The best scenario comes last: head over the pass of Kaldidalur towards the amazing Langjökull glacier.

Finally, meet up with the Golden Circle Evening tour at the magical Þingvellir National Park. Wrap up the experience by tottering all together to contemplate one last waterfall, Gullfoss, and another geothermal area, Geysir, before heading back to Reykjavik, thus ending your tour of the land where fairy tales could come true.
