Discover the hidden treasures just waiting to be found in the terrific Tuscany with a wonderful day trip to both Lucca and Pisa. Soak up the rich history and customs of two cities which are practically side by side if you look at the map, but in terms of their character are miles apart. The lush greenery and mini medieval villages will take centre stage and will not fail to amaze you.


Make your way towards the coast by cruising along to Pisa - which is where Galileo Galilei (the famous physicist and astronomer) was born. Best known for its leaning tower, this city is full of magnificent monuments that you’ll get to see with your guide. Meander around the symbolic Piazza dei Miracoli and head over to the Tower of Pisa, the Cathedral and the cemetery. After all of this, we’ll pop in to a wine shop, where you can try out some wonderful wines made in Tuscany.


Next, you go on to Lucca. You have some free time to trek around town and get familiar with the stunning squares and amazing alleys. Your eyes will be spoilt for choice with the wonderful array of architecture, such as the classic tower houses with the romantic red roofs, impressive churches and precious palaces. Later on, you will be taken along to the centre of the old town to see Piazza dell'Anfiteatro, The Guinigi Tower, Lucca Cathedral and the long-established shopping street full of cute boutiques and antique shops.
