Soak up the marvels of the Italian Capital on this history-packed tour of Rome. Join the archaeologist guide, who will bring the history to life before your very eyes, and explore the sites of gladiator battles, animal fights and political trials. The limited numbers ensure you’re given an intimate and personal tour of the city!

Marvel in the heritage that Rome has to offer as you are taken on a journey back to the Roman era! Visit the world-famous Colosseum, the largest amphitheatre in the world and a true testament to the wonders of Roman engineering. Be transported back in time as you stand where people will have stood and watched in Roman times as entertainment was put on for their enjoyment. This brilliant monument would have been home to many of the great gladiator battles of old, fought before the Caesars of their time!

After the Colosseum you will be taken to the Arch of Constantine, a magnificent Arch which stands between the Colosseum and Palatine Hill. Sculpted during the late Roman period, the archaeologist guide will tell you all about the creation of the Arch and the artwork which has gone into creating it. You’ll find yourself in awe of the slices of heritage that Rome has to offer on this tour as you’re shown around this brilliant historical city. This tour is definitely one for the lovers of history and those who are interested in seeing the sights!

Meeting/Pick up point: At the Arch of Constantine (in front of the Colosseum) on the side facing the road. Ending point: Piazza della Madonna dei Monti (at the bar La Bottega del Caffè)

Dress standard: Comfortable shoes are recommended as this is a walking tour. Note that backpacks and large bags are not permitted within the Colosseum
