Il programma nel dettaglio

See Rio high and low with this fascinating and colourful tour of the Sugarloaf Mountain and Rio city tour with Corcovado, Maracana and Sambadrome. Arrive at Urca neighbourhood, a jewel to be discovered slowly, with its old houses and a few shops, one of the icons of the Marvellous City attracts our attention: Pão de Açúcar (Sugarloaf). The trip to the top of the mountain by cableway is in two stages: the first one goes from Praia Vermelha (Red Beach) Station to the Morro da Urca (224 metres), and the second from the Morro da Urca until the top of the Sugarloaf (395 metres). From there you have the most beautiful and panoramic view of Rio de Janeiro.

The adventure continues at the legendary Maracana Stadium, setting of some of the greatest events in Brazilian football and also the most traumatic. The Maracana was inaugurated to host the FIFA World Cup of 1950, it originally seated some 200,000 spectators. The stadium was partly rebuilt in preparation for the 2014 World Cup and will be the host site for the final match; the current seating capacity is set at 78,000 and is the largest in South America. The Sambadrome, a parade of Rio's samba schools is also on our menu, which also includes a delicious lunch in a traditional rodízio steakhouse.

Complete the second leg of the tour in downtown Rio features sights and attractions such as panoramic views of the Municipal Theatre, National Library, Cinelândia, Arcos da Lapa and a visit to the São Sebastião Metropolitan Cathedral.
