Ascend to the Sanctuary of Monserrate, a symbol of Bogota, built in the 17th century on the eastern part of Mount Monserrate at a height of more than 3,000 meters. To help build this historic sanctuary, each pilgrim that visited the site carried a brick to the top of Mount Monserrate! Whilst here, don't forget to take a moment to admire breathtaking views over the city.
Leave the monastery behind as you head to Plaza Bolivar, Bogota's main square which is home to some of the most emblematic buildings in the city such as the Presidential Palace, the Cathedral, the Capitol, Liévano Palace, July 20 House and the Palace of Justice.
