Il programma nel dettaglio

Looking for the charm of Copenhagen that hides behind cosy street corners? Where a plethora of quaint, creaky buildings give tribute to a bygone era? Search no further! These old remnants of the city are like finding a needle in a haystack (can anyone say fires?)… you have to know where to look (the evidence is rare but not extinct). On our small-group tour Copenhagen Old Town Walk, bounce back in time with us and be enchanted as we trace in the footsteps of Copenhagen’s historical roots, revealing the hidden treasures of the city.

Walking our way back through history, we start off by taking a look at Rådhusplatsen, home to Copenhagen City Hall. A step further back in time will bring you to the squares Nytorv and Gammeltorv. We’ll journey past the Church of Our Lady (also known as Copenhagen Cathedral), where an Australian commoner became a Crown Princess; look up to the stars (or to the top of a tower) like astronomers have done from atop The Round Tower; and take in colourful facades of the houses surrounding the historical hangout Gråbrødretorv. Oh! Did we mention the Danes have a sweet tooth? If you do too, you'll enjoy the visit to the Bolsje factory.

Before we end, a short walk along the main shopping streets, weaving our way in and out of secret alleys, will bring us to a view of Slotsholmen (“Palace Island”), with the impressive Christiansborg Palace, a hot spot for both royalty and politicians. There it is, our Copenhagen Old Town Walk – short, sweet (did anyone say Bolsje?!) and complete.
