Il programma nel dettaglio

Imagine a city proudly founded by the powerful Vikings, who ate nothing but fish, went on raids and lived just like everyone else (in the north). Flash forward to the 1600s. Enter King Christian IV, ruler of Denmark and Norway, rebuilder of fortresses, and founder of cities. Add a fire raging through the city and the King's decision to not rebuild, but instead move it. Put it all together and what do you have?... Oslo! Together, we're off to explore the Oslo City of today on our private walking tour.

Starting our walk from the Nobel Peace Center, the lovely Aker Brygge offers a stunning view of the Oslo Harbour and Fjord. We’ll skip from one place to the next, telling you all there is to know about the Oslo City Hall and the Nobel Peace Prize Ceremony on the way to the city's core. Here we'll meet The National Theatre, University Square, Karl Johans gate (the main shopping street), and Norwegian Parliament. What else comes to mind when you think of Oslo?

For starters, no visit of Oslo is complete without a visit to Akershus Fortress and... what?! An iceberg?! It may be cold here but that's no iceberg... it's the Oslo Opera House. With its exciting modern architecture, the Opera House and its neighbouring buildings form a new, contemporary part of town. So contemporary, it's still being built! Not to mention modern in the sense that urban farming has really taken off and you can find it just behind the Opera.
