DAY 01 SATURDAY: NEW YORK, NY
Arrival for program – Meet & Greet at the airport and transfer to the hotel
Welcome to the world-famous Big Apple”! New York City is the ultimate cosmopolitan city in the world; there is lower Manhattan’s Chinatown and Little Italy, the traditionally Jewish Lower East Side, the more artsy concentrations of SoHo, TriBeCa, and the East and West Villages. Of course, there is the celebrated architecture of corporate Manhattan, with the skyscrapers in downtown and midtown forming the most unforgettable images. Tonight, perhaps visit Times Square, named after the New York Times; this is a vibrant, neon-lit area in the heart of the Theater District. Here you will find megastores and themed restaurants to please all tastes and budgets.

DAY 02 SUNDAY: NEW YORK

Half Day City tour departs at 08:15 Hrs from Sheraton New York Times Square
Culturally vibrant and ethnically diverse, the city is home to historical sites and modern entertainment. View
the most famous neighborhoods, attractions and places of interest and hear all the spicy details about them as
told by a native New Yorker. The half day city tour is designed to make you better acquainted with this vibrant
metropolis for you to later explore at your leisure.

DAY 03 MONDAY: NEW YORK CITY – PHILADELPHIA – BALTIMORE - WASHINGTON DC

New York Departure – Participants should meet in the lobby of Sheraton New York Times Square at 07:00 Hrs for a 07:30 Hrs departure
On our way to Washington, the tour will stop in Philadelphia, “The City of Brotherly Love”. Philadelphia was
the most influential town in the process of the American Revolution and the original capital of the nation.
Several sites associated with the American Revolution are preserved in the National Historical Park. The 45-acre (180,000 m2) park comprises much of the historic area of downtown. The main attractions are independence
Hall, the place where Thomas Jefferson’s Declaration of Independence was created and adopted on July 4,
1776 and the Liberty Bell Pavilion, where the 2,080 lbs. bell hangs. In the afternoon the tour continues to
Baltimore where everyone can enjoy a walk in some romantic late 19th century neighborhoods. In the evening we will arrive in Nation’s Capital, Washington, DC.

Optional Evening Excursion – Washington Evening Illumination Tour
As an option, tonight you may choose a sightseeing tour where you can enjoy the beauty of this nation’s capital after dark. See the monuments and federal buildings flooded in lights, from the illuminated dome of the U.S. Capitol to the breathtaking view from the roof of the Kennedy Center. Ride down Pennsylvania Avenue and see the White House and the Capitol Reflecting Pool. Dinner on own.

DAY 04 TUESDAY: WASHINGTON DC
Breakfast
Washington, DC has numerous monuments and attractions. Enjoy a half day guided tour of the city from the
comfort of the motor coach. Highlights include the White House, The Capitol, the Lincoln Memorial, Vietnam
Veterans Memorial and Arlington National Cemetery. For the remainder of the day, participants are free to continue taking in the sights. The city is very easy to maneuver and allows visitors to explore museums and the surrounding attractions effortlessly; admission to most major attractions is free. While exploring the sites on your own, you may want to visit the Library of Congress; it is the nation’s oldest federal cultural institution
and serves as the research arm of Congress. It is also the largest library in the world.

DAY 05 WEDNESDAY: WASHINGTON – SKYLINE CAVERNS- SHENANDOAH NP – BLUE RIDGE PARKWAY – ROANOKE, VA
Breakfast
Today the tour travels across the great Shenandoah National Park, but before driving through the park gates,
there will be a stop at the natural wonders at Skyline Caverns. These caverns are one of the few in the world to
have clusters of shimmering white calcium carbonate crystals called anthodites, as well as Rainbow falls, and
underground waterfall plunging 37 feet. Relax and enjoy now the ride in the sky: the historic 105-mile Skyline
Drive, a National Scenic Byway, traverses Shenandoah National Park, a beautiful, historic national treasure on
a meandering roadway with 75 breathtaking overlooks along the crest of the mountains. We will continue on
the scenic Blue Ridge Parkway. The Parkway, which is America’s longest linear park, runs for 469 miles through
29 Virginia and North Carolina counties, mostly along the Blue Ridge, a major mountain chain that is part of
the Appalachian Mountains.

DAY 06 THURSDAY: ROANOKE - ASHEVILLE - PIGEON FORGE, TN
Breakfast
Today we leave Roanoke behind and travel to historic town of Asheville, NC. After lunch we will meander
through the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. The first stop will be the Oconaluftee Visitor Center and
the Mountain Farm Museum, a collection of historic log buildings gathered from throughout the Smoky.
Buildings include a house, barn, applehouse, springhouse, and smokehouse. We continue through the park
across the ridgeline of the Smoky Mountains on scenic Newfound Gap road ascending 3,000 feet through a
variety of forest ecosystems to the Newfound Gap overlook which offers views of the valley. Leaving the park
in Tennessee we continue through resort town of Gatlinburg to Pigeon Forge for the night.

DAY 07 FRIDAY: PIGEON FORGE – NASHVILLE, TN
Breakfast
Depart Pigeon Forge this morning and drive toward Nashville, better known as Music City, USA. We will take
the time to visit the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum. It presents a vast collection to illustrate the
story of country music told through two centuries. Enjoy the rest of the day visiting Historic RCA Studio B, “The
Home of 1,000 Hits” an up-close look at what was once the second home of music legends Elvis Presley, Chet
Atkins, Dolly Parton and more. Over 35,000 songs were recorded here. For a slightly different side of Nashville,
see the Parthenon, the world’s only full-scale reproduction of the famous Greek temple. Nashville’s Parthenon
stands in Centennial Park and features both the city’s art museum and Athena Parthenos. At almost 42 feet in
height, Athena Parthenos is the tallest indoor sculpture in the Western world.

DAY 08 SATURDAY: NASHVILLE – MEMPHIS, TN

Leaving Nashville behind we travel to Memphis, home of the blues. Our first stop will be Graceland, Elvis
Presley’s 14-acre estate. Continue with a visit to the “Birthplace of Rock ‘n Roll” at Sun Studios. The Sun
Studios will take you through the very hallways and recording studios where greats like Johnny Cash, Elvis,
Carl Perkins, B.B. king, Jerry lee Lewis and many others got their start. This historic entertainment capital has
something for everyone, whether you want to listen to music or sample southern barbecue. Today the tour
makes its way around the most famous landmarks and destinations in Memphis in the downtown area, along
the Mississippi River, and historic points such as the site where Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. was assassinated.

DAY 09 SUNDAY: MEMPHIS – INDIANOLA - VICKSBURG - NATCHEZ, MS
Breakfast
The tour departs Memphis to rural Mississippi, steeped in history and heritage. The first stop today will
be at the B.B. King Museum: this exhibition includes thousands of rare artifacts, award-winning films, and
an inspiring story about the life and music of this iconic artist and the blues! With sweeping views of the
Mississippi River, Vicksburg perfectly blends Southern culture and heritage with exciting modern-day
attractions. In the afternoon we arrive in Natchez, founded in 1716, home of a flowering antebellum culture.
Nestled on 200 foot bluffs, Natchez has one of the most magnificent and unobstructed views of the Mississippi
river in America.

DAY 10 MONDAY: NATCHEZ, MS – BATON ROUGE, LA - NEW ORLEANS, LA
Breakfast
Today the tour continues to Louisiana. Along the way, there will be a stop in Baton Rouge. Situated on the
banks of the Mississippi River, Baton Rouge is Louisiana’s capital. We will learn about the colorful history
filled with controversial politics at the Capitol Building and the Old Governor’s Mansion. Lunch on own to
sample some of the Cajun-Creole cuisine at one of the local eateries. After lunch the tour leaves for Oak
Alley Plantation, this historic plantation is one of the South’s most beautiful settings. It is famous for its alley
of 28 magnificent Oak trees, each over 250 years old. We will tour the historic grounds, the “Big House”, Civil
War Encampment Exhibit and Slave Quarter Exhibit. We continue to the birthplace of Jazz and home of the
Mardi Gras, the vibrant city with a distinctly French feel… New Orleans! Free time for dinner in a local creole
restaurant or listen to some music in one of the clubs.

DAY 11 TUESDAY: NEW ORLEANS, LA
Breakfast + Jazz Brunch
This morning’s half a day city tour will take you to the French Quarter, the oldest neighborhood in New
Orleans. We’ll see the historic park Jackson Square, and the stately St. Louis Cathedral. We will drive by the
Garden District to see its stately mansions and stop at a typical New Orleans above ground cemetery. After the
tour we will have a Jazz Brunch at the famous Court of Two Sisters. Rest of the day free for shopping, a peek
behind the scenes and see Mardi magic in the making, take a riverboat tour, or join the optional Swamp Tour
to the Manchac Swamp. Dinner is on own.

Optional Excursion: Swamp Tour
Experience the Manchac Swamp, this unique and exciting adventure exploring Louisiana’s back country with its meandering bayous and swamps. Swamp creatures, seeing the boats daily, recognize them as part of their normal environment; unafraid and responsive to their boat captain’s call, they peak out from underbrush and between moss-draped trees and shrubs, frequently coming directly to the boat. As your boat drifts through the waterways, you will learn about the Louisiana Wetlands, the inhabitants of the swamp, particularly the life and habits of the American Alligator, as well as the unique history of the Cajun town of Frenier within the Manchac Swamp.

DAY 12 WEDNESDAY: NEW ORLEANS, LA
Breakfast
Program concludes with shuttle transfer to Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport for departure
flight.
