Set out for a remarkable day as you travel through the history and culture of two Chinese cities, Shenzhen and Guangzhou. This full day tour will leave you captivated by an area filled with a rich past and deep-rooted tradition.

Head out early and make your way to Shenzhen. An ancient city and modern commercial centre in one, visit the Museum of History and Folk Center and admire over 20,000 relics showcasing the historical development of the city. Discover both the past and present with the Exhibition Of Shenzhen Folk Culture and the Shenzhen Exhibition. Explore the folk culture of the ancient Cantonese and Hakka communities, along with the modern developments of the last two centuries. Refuel with a classic dim-sum lunch at the world famous Shangri-la hotel. With stomachs pleasantly full, the tour carries on to Guangzhou, an important trading port situated on the banks of the Pearl River. Make your way to the splendour of Dr. Sun Yat-Sen's Memorial Hall. Tour the sprawling grounds of this beautiful theatre now used for rallies and cultural performances.

Afterwards, visit the towering Temple Of The Six Banyan Trees. A Buddhist shrine, with vibrant Banyan trees in its picturesque courtyards, find peace and serenity as you explore this rich tradition. Continue on to the Chen Clan Academy, an ancient complex that served as a hall for ancestor worship, an important practice throughout the country for generations old and new. Afterwards, make your return by train and gaze at the beauty of the countryside illuminated by the moon.
