This 3 hours relaxing walking tour will take you through the most famous squares and fountains of Rome. Accompanied by an expert Roman guide you will admire famous sights and you will be captured by the stories behind them…things that you will not find in books!
You will start the highlights of Rome with one of the most beautiful squares of the city: the Spanish Steps with the famous Bernini's Fontana della Barcaccia. It’s hard to believe that this is where, some centuries ago, rich people refused to move and poor artists used to live! The next stop is the Pantheon, the ancient temple dedicated to all Gods. You will not probably believe how well is preserved, how big the dome is and…just made of one solid block! Today this incredibly well preserved monument is a church that hosts several tombs of many great characters from Italian history, such as Raphael. In case of rain, you can try to see if any drop falls inside: there is a hole in the centre of the dome but romans do believe the water will not fall inside… even if it rains! From Piazza della Rotonda we will walk directly to Navona Square, where you will see the famous Bernini's Fountain of the Four Rivers. Piazza Navona is also the place where you can find street artists and painters but above all…it is here that you can get one of the best Gelato in Rome, promised! Continue your tour as you walk through the picturesque, cobbled footpaths and reach the charming Trevi Fountain. Make sure you will come back to Rome someday by throwing a coin in the fountain. Be ready with your coin and … you don’t have to look!
