Description of the tour
Bologna has acquired over the centuries the nickname "The Fat” because is home to some of Italy’s most mouth-watering food and has a culinary tradition of absolute excellence. This has never been a suitable place for dieting, so forget it and enjoy making fresh pasta! Just try to imitate the expert hands of the "sfoglina” Martina, a Bolognese woman capable of creating perfect pasta starting from two very simple and basic ingredients: eggs and wheat. She will be sharing all the secrets in her pasta lab in Bologna. In a few hours, you will learn how to prepare the dough following the traditional recipe, how to lay the dough using a wooden “mattarello” and how to make some traditional pasta dishes of Bologna's cuisine, such as tortellini, tortelloni and tagliatelle. That is not all: at the end of the class, to complete the experience, you will enjoy what you have created along with some other typical regional specialties as cured meats and local wines.
