If you’re going to San Francisco be sure to go on a GoCar tour when your there. This guided excursion of Downtown and Chinatown will bring you to all the top sites and attractions in the heart of this most atmospheric of American cities.

You will visit vibrant Union Square, the Financial District, the Ball Park, the waterfront Embarcadero, the sea lion hub of Pier 39, the legendary Chinatown, the former beatnik hub of North Beach, Fisherman’s Wharf and the tramcar line of Hyde Street.

The Union Square district is the hub of San Francisco, with a myriad of stores, bars, restaurants and entertainment hotspots. The Financial District is where most of the city’s skyscrapers are located, the most famous of which is the emblematic Transamerica Pyramid.

Along the waterfront is Pier 39, a shopping centre that has been a tourist attraction since 1989 when hundreds of sea lions decided to make the docks their hangout. The city’s Chinatown is the most famous in the world and the largest outside Asia.

Fisherman’s Wharf is famed as the starting point for the greatest movie car chase of all time, the gripping 11-minute scene in Bullitt that sped through the hilly streets of North Beach, which is actually not near the sea.

The tour takes approximately one hour driving time and has several fun and informative detours. We’ll cap off the excursion with a cruise along the Embarcadero, a beautiful water boulevard created after the 1989 earthquake as part of the regeneration of the waterfront.



Meeting/ Pick up point: Either GoCar Union Square - 431 Beach Street, or GoCar Fisherman's Wharf -321 Mason Street.
Start or opening time: 9am.
End or closing time: 6pm.
Others: You must be 21 years of age to rent a GoCar and 18 years to drive one.
