Very close to the small town of Chicayota and Barras de Piaxtla, is the magnificent beach of Las Labradas with hundreds of ancient petroglyphs dating back 1,000 to 1,500 years ago. Most of the mysterious rock carvings are abstract and symbolic expressions of ancients Pre Hispanic world. They were used as means of communicating with gods and the universe. Created for special rituals and ceremonies relating to the natural elements of light, fire and heat the petroglyphs are clearly visible today. Experienced the sensations of being in one of the most enigmatic archeological sites in Northern Mexico.
