Famous and beloved compositions by the “King of Waltz”, Johann Strauss II, as well as arias of operas by W. A. Mozart in the wonderful atmosphere of Vienna's Imperial Palace (Hofburg), create a magical evening in Vienna.



The orchestra consists of about 40 professional musician and international soloist of the Vienna State Opera. Founded 30 years ago, the orchestra still delights with its waltz and operetta pieces. Enjoy a concert in the music capital of the world.



It was at the celebratory inauguration concert on 19 October 1913, in the presence of Emperor Franz Joseph I, that opened the world to new things: Richard Strauss created his Festive Prelude op. 61 for this occasion, and it was followed by Ludwig van Beethoven‘s Ninth Symphony. Awareness of tradition and enthusiasm for innovation are today still the main pillars of the musical world of the Konzerthaus, forming its artistic identity. For this very reason, the Vienna Hofburg Orchestra decided to return to the place where it was founded to play the Mozart-Saal, which has gained a worldwide reputation for its unique acoustics.
