Day 1 Milan

Arrival in afternoon. Check-in at the hotel, then you are free to soak up the atmosphere of the town. Dinner and overnight stay in Milan.

Day 2 Milan

Milan is the second largest city in Italy and the capital of the Lombardy Region. Panoramic tour of this amazing city which combines art, fashion, style and finance. We will see the Duomo, the Vittorio Emanuele Gallery (called Milan’s lounge), the Scala Opera House and the amazing Castello Sforzesco, once home of the Sforza family, which houses Michelangelo’s last unfinished masterwork, the „Rondanini Pieta”. Then we will admire „The Last Supper” by Leonardo da Vinci in Chiesa Santa Maria delle Grazie. The rest of the day is free to explore what interests you most. You can admire works by Raphael, Bellini and other great Italian masters at the Pinacoteca di Brera; or maybe you want to spend your free time in the shopping area of Via Montenapoleone, where all major Italian stylists have their boutiques. Day 3 Pavia, Vigevano

In the morning we visit the delightful university city of Pavia, once the capital of Lombardy. Known as the city of 100 towers though only a few remain intact today, Pavia boasts splendid Romanesque and medieval buildings. We continue on to a hidden gem of Italy, Certosa di Pavia, wonderful building complex commissioned by the Duke of Milan, Galeazzo II Visconti in 1396 as the family mausoleum, intended to resemble Milan’s Duomo. In fact the same architects and craftsmen worked on the construction. It took two hundred years to complete this church, for this reason the Certosa shows signs of different styles, from late Gothic to Renaissance and Mannerism. The front is what instantly catches the eye, a masterpiece of Lombard sculpture, almost an open air museum. A rich and priceless heritage decorates the naves, including works by Perugino. Later we move on to Vigevano, a small city well known throughout the world as a centre for shoe-making excellence, and for having one of the most beautiful Renaissance piazzas in all of Italy - the Piazza Ducale. Return for dinner and overnight stay in Milan.

Day 4 Lago Como: Como

The Como Lake is said to be Italy’s most beautiful lake, and you’ll understand why it entrances celebrities, aristocrats and jetsetters when you see it for yourself today. In the morning we will take a brief tour of Como, a charming and popular town perched on the waterfront of the lake. Narrow streets, artistic monuments and the ancient city walls serve to document the Middle Age times. Spend the afternoon exploring at your own pace the town, strolling amongst the many typically formal Italian gardens. You can take the cable car up to Brunate and the unique view over the lake and mountains surrounding and embracing it, or you can enjoy a private boat tour of the beautiful 18th century Villa del Balbianello, one of the finest villas surrounding the lake. It features a renowned collection of art as well as stunning gardens with a series of manicured terraces full of fragrant roses and colourful borders. In the afternoon, return for dinner and overnight stay in Milan.

Day 5 Milan

Breakfast and departure for return journey. End of our services.
