Day 1 Rodengo

Arrival in afternoon. Check-in at your hotel and then you are free to soak up the Alpin atmosphere of the town. Dinner and overnight stay in Rodengo.

Day 2 Vipiteno, Bressanone

Today we depart for Vipiteno, and continue to the charming village of Bressanone, the oldest town in the area, with Roman lanes and Gothic town houses. You are more likely to hear German spoken here than Italian. Return for dinner and overnight stay in Rodengo.

Day 3 Lake di Braies

A leisurely drive along the winding mountain roads, with glorious summer views over meadowland and high-perched villages. We experience the making and tasting of some wonderful Alpine products at a local dairy and continue onwards to view the small but beautiful alpine Lake Braies before returning to Rodengo for dinner and overnight stay .

Day 4 Bolzano, Merano

Today we travel to the charming, old village of Bolzano. We will take a sightseeing tour of this northern city, including the gothic Duomo and the medieval city center. Here we have included the entrance at the Archaeological Museum, where you can see the 5300-year-old ‘Ice Man’ found in the glaciers of the Alps. We move on to Merano, home of the famous Christmas’s Markets. Merano is well known also for its mild climate and thermal springs and it has also a charming historical town center. Return for dinner and overnight stay in Rodengo.

Day 5 Innsbruck

We drive to Innsbruck, the capital of the Austrian Tyrol and important trading centre since Celtic times. Surrounded by towering peaks, Innsbruck is undoubtedly one of Austria’s prettiest cities, and there’s plenty of time this morning to explore its charms and delightful streets. We will admire the resplendent Golden Roof, a 15th-century gold and copper-roofed balcony built to provide Emperor Maximilian I with a royal box for viewing tournaments in the square below, and marvel at the handsome Hofburg Palace. We will see the magnificent baroque St Jakob’s cathedral and the former Imperial Palace, once home of Empress Maria Theresa, the Stadtturm belfry tower with its excellent views across the city and Schloss Ambras, the Renaissance castle and palace. Before leaving for Rodengo, take the opportunity for some last-minute shopping - maybe snap up some legendary Swarovski crystal! Return to Rodengo for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 6 Trento

In the morning we will visit the town centre of Trento and its Castle Del Buon Consiglio, dominating the town and symbol of the House of Habsburg. We will also stop at Santa Maria Maggiore Church and Geremia Palace. Return for dinner and overnight stay in Rodengo.

Day 7 Brunico, Ortisei

Our first stop today is Brunico. We then continue to Ortisei and enjoy a cable car ride over the Seisser Alm region scattered with alpine meadows and wooden farmsteads. Return for dinner and overnight stay in Rodengo.

Day 8 Rodengo

Breakfast and departure for return journey. End of our services.
