Program details

Combine a trip to two of the most spectacular and popular attractions in Bangkok on this memorable tour that takes you to both the Royal Grand Palace and the nearby Temple of Wat Pho. Admire the former Siamese Court with its beautiful gardens and intricate architecture before marveling at the golden statue of the reclining Buddha at Wat Pho. Your local guide will explain the rich history behind each site as you appreciate two of Bangkok’s most famous landmarks.

Begin the tour with a trip to Bangkok’s Grand palace, still used to this day for royal engagements and functions. Constructed in the 18th century, the palace was the home of the Chakri dynasty for hundreds of years. Consisting of over 100 brightly colored buildings, golden spires and glittering mosaics, the palace is a truly spectacular visual spectacle. Make your way through the extravagant gardens and courtyards before marveling at the breathtaking luxury of the interior.

For the second part of your tour, make the short journey to Wat Pho temple, birthplace of the Thai massage and also known as Thailand’s first university. However, the main tourist draw of this stunning temple is the 43 meter long golden statue of the reclining Buddha. Depicting the spiritual leader on the point of enlightenment, this vast statue is one of the most important pious objects in the Buddhist faith and attracts millions of visitors each year.
