Take in Bangkok’s very best attractions on this morning tour of the Royal Palace, the Wat Pho Temple and the vibrant Chinatown area of the city. Admire the palace, a former Siamese Court with its beautiful gardens and intricate architecture before marveling at the golden statue of the reclining Buddha and enjoying a Thai massage at Wat Pho. Your local guide will explain the rich history behind each site as you appreciate two of Bangkok’s most famous landmarks. Then make your way to the market stalls street food and gold shops of the vibrant and bustling Bangkok Chinatown.

Begin the tour with a trip to Bangkok’s Grand palace, still used to this day for royal engagements and functions. Constructed in the 18th century, the palace was the home of the Chakri dynasty for hundreds of years. Consisting of over 100 brightly coloured buildings, golden spires and glittering mosaics, the palace is a truly breathtaking visual spectacle. Make your way through the extravagant gardens and courtyards before marveling at the luxury of the interior.

For the second part of your tour, make the short journey to Wat Pho temple, birthplace of the Thai massage and also known as Thailand’s first university. Relax with a half hour Thai massage in this historic setting and take in the 43 meter long golden statue of the reclining Buddha. Depicting the spiritual leader on the point of enlightenment, this vast statue is one of the most important pious objects in the Buddhist faith and attracts millions of visitors each year.

Complete your action-packed tour with a trip to Chinatown. Soak up the sights, sounds and aromas of this intriguing neighbourhood and be sure to look out for bargains and souvenirs at the many road-side stalls.
