Program details

Enjoy the spectacular scenery of the coastline of Maine and discover why the New England seacoast is the top summer spot for Bostonians looking to escape the city with this fabulous coast excursion from Boston. Travel along the North Shore, visiting historic sites, shopping at boutique stores and enjoying delicious seafood, just like the locals do.

From Boston, travel north past a number of small North Shore communities to Hampton Beach, New Hampshire, a stunning seaside spot where you can stretch your legs and look out over the ocean. Continuing along the rocky coast of Maine, visit the Nubble Lighthouse in York, a quaint old building dating back to 1879 that makes for incredible photographs of a classic American lighthouse. As you pass by wetlands, beaches and tiny ports, your friendly guide will explain everything there is to know about this stunning area.

Next, breathe in the beauty of the Maine coast on the way to Kennebunk Village and Kennebunkport. View former President Bush’s summer home from Walker Point, and return to Kennebunkport for two hours of shopping and lunch on your own at the many quaint shops and eateries in the village. With its charming tree-lined streets and legacy of maritime wealth, Kennebunkport is a beautiful American small town, with a strong sense of community and a history as a summer colony dating back 100 years.
