Miami is a real melting point of Latino, Afro-American and European Cultures and this fun and engaging walking tour is an ideal way to get to know the architecture, history and food culture of Miami Beach. We’ll tour some of the best restaurants in the area, ranging from five star to mama’s back kitchen while your friendly guide gives you the low-down on the fascinating history and unique architecture of the Art Deco district.

The tour is structured as a multi-course meal where each course takes place at a different restaurant. Try Colombian empanadas washed down with a cool beer at a local Latino gem. Savour Lobster Bisque and one of the best French restaurants in the neighbourhood. Feast on Peruvian ceviche and Pisco Sour before visiting a Jewish delicatessen, a Cuban sandwich bar and a family-run Argentinian bakery for some delicious local specialities. The tour will end with some award-winning gelato, Italian style.

Between the stops you’ll learn all about the fascinating history of the area’s iconic Art Deco district with its colourful buildings painted in delicate shades of pastel. You’ll learn of the efforts made to preserve the iconic style of the neighbourhood and how it has become home to a vibrant multi-cultural community. A great way to experience the beating heart of South Beach as you stimulate your taste buds.

Pick up/Meeting/pick-up point: La Ventana Restaurant at 710 Washington Avenue, Miami Beach, FL 33139. Guide will be holding a sign that says Miami Culinary Tours.

Start/opening time: Tour is offered at 12pm daily, and at 6pm Wednesdays through Saturdays. Guests must arrive at least 10 minutes prior to tour time in order to check in. Group will start walking promptly at 5 minutes past the hour. 6 to 8 stops will be made, with tastings at each location.
Duration: Tours take approximately 2.5 hours.
