Program details

The road less travelled in San Francisco is the road with that’s full of surprises. This GoCar route will allow you to visit many of the city’s most beautiful parks, including the Presidio and Crissy Field on the way to the Golden Gate Bridge and back. This fascinating four-hour route travels through some of San Francisco’s most famous districts such as Fisherman’s Wharf, Russian Hill and Lombard Street, also known as the ‘Crooked Street’ because of its hairpin bends.

The route also takes in some of the most emblematic landmarks and attractions such as Fort Mason, Fort Point, Baker, China and Ocean beaches, the Cliff House and the Palace of Fine Arts. Snap panoramic photos along the Pacific Ocean and see the Golden Gate Bridge up close from every possible angle. You can even park and take a stroll along the span of the bridge.

You will also be able to take a break and browse the boutique shopping districts of Chestnut and Union Street, and fill the trunk with the latest fashions or stop for a bite to eat. There are also options that include a winding detour to the top of twin peaks, two landmark mountains above San Francisco where on a clear day you can see an epic panoramic view of the city. Then descend down the hill to Alamo Square and the Painted Ladies, made famous by the popular TV show Full House. You will also have the options to see the Coit Tower on Telegraph Hill or Haight Ashbury, location of the legendary 1967 Summer of Love.
