Highlights
- Peru's National Museum of Anthropology, Archaeology and History
- The Larco Museum
- See large collections of ancient gold and silver artefacts alongside works of erotic art

Your tour begins by heading over to Peru's National Museum of Anthropology, Archaeology and History, located in the picturesque district of Pueblo Libre. This building houses the oldest national museum, founded originally way back in 1826. Here visitors can learn about a variety of subjects as well as the intricacies of Peruvian history, from the very first days of local civilization until the Republican times. It also contains a wonderful collection of pottery, textiles and gold and silver artefacts created by various Peruvian cultures.

Continue then to the second part of your trip: the Larco Museum, located in the same district. Created by Rafael Larco Hoyle in 1926, this museum is found within a luxurious mansion from the Viceroyalty age, built upon a pre-Columbian pyramid from the 7th century. Here you will find the most complete pre-Hispanic collection of gold and silver artefacts alongside works of erotic art. No less than 45,000 archaeological artefacts bear witness to about five thousand years of uninterrupted Peruvian history. Join us on this tour and learn all about the fascinating past of this wonderful country.
