Isla Negra is a beautiful coastal area best known as the residence of Chile’s Nobel Prize winner and poet, Pablo Neruda. Neruda built one of his houses on this coast, which today is a museum. In fact it was Neruda himself who christened the area the “Isla Negra.” The museum will give you the opportunity to understand how countless personal gems and objects, as well as items as seemingly insignificant as bottle collections and shells turned into a permanent source of inspiration for the poet.
