Join us on this awe-inspiring trip through the Andes to Portillo and the Incas Lagoon. Portillo is a fantastic ski resort just outside from Santiago and this tour gives you the opportunity to marvel at the astounding sights of this mountain delight. The fascinating Incas Lagoon is a spectacle in itself and the views that Portillo has to offer are truly breath-taking.
The trip begins as you travel through a mountain range majestically capped with the Andes to reach Portillo and its unique lncas Lagoon. You will go as far as the Chacabuco Monument where you can take in an authentic historical site – the scene of a battle for Chilean independence in 1817. Later your guide will lead you along the road of the old Andean railway beneath the stunning Aconcagua Mountain. The range consists of small pretty towns, mining camps, even glaciers and for you to contemplate from the famous river Rio Blanco. Notice the man-made protective passageways which act as shelters from avalanches, which sometimes occur during the winter season.
Later relax as you enjoy a delicious lunch and opportunity to contemplate and marvel at the imposing Incas Lagoon and take in these stunning surroundings.
